JUÁREZ, Mexico, August 31, 2026 – Electrical Components International, Inc. (“ECI”), a global leader in electrical distribution systems, control box assemblies, and other critical engineered components, is celebrating 55 years in Mexico this year – a journey that has grown from its first operation in Juárez in 1971 to 11 manufacturing locations and more than 10,000 employees today, with continued investment in the country.
Over more than five decades, ECI’s presence in Mexico has transformed alongside the industries and customers it serves. What began in Juárez has evolved into a diversified manufacturing network spanning Chihuahua, Baja California, Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Querétaro, incorporating new technologies, increasingly sophisticated manufacturing processes, and capabilities serving a broad range of end markets.
That evolution can be seen across ECI’s operations today; our Juárez facilities manufacture electrical systems for leading OEMs in multiple end markets, including construction, agriculture, material handling, specialty off road and recreational vehicles, and other industrial applications. Chihuahua is home to ECI’s HVAC Center of Excellence, alongside other manufacturing capabilities, while Tequisquiapan extends ECI’s presence in central Mexico. Most recently, ECI opened a new operation in Torreón in 2026, continuing the company’s investment and growth in the country.
Throughout that growth and transformation, safety has remained a core value at ECI and a fundamental part of how its teams operate every day. Across Mexico, several operations are achieving significant safety milestones. Chihuahua Plants 1 and 2 as well as Juárez Plant 5 have each surpassed 1,000 consecutive days without a workplace accident, with Juárez Plant 3 and Saltillo nearing this significant milestone. These achievements reflect the commitment and personal responsibility of ECI’s teams and a shared focus on protecting one another every day.
Just as ECI’s operations have evolved, so have the opportunities for its people. Generations of employees have built careers with the company, with many contributing to ECI’s success for decades while developing new skills and growing alongside the business.
“Fifty-five years is an extraordinary milestone, but what stands out most is how much our organization and our people have evolved together,” said Luis Noe, President of North America Transportation. “We have employees who have dedicated decades of their careers to ECI, customer relationships that span generations, and teams that continue to embrace new technologies and new ways of working. That combination of experience and continuous evolution is a tremendous strength.”
ECI’s longevity in Mexico is also reflected in its customer relationships. Some partnerships extend back more than 50 years, demonstrating the trust built through consistent performance and value delivered over generations. Over the decades, ECI’s Mexico teams have earned repeated customer recognition for quality, delivery, and supplier performance, supported by rigorous quality, compliance, security, and operational standards.
“The strength of our Mexico operations has always come from our people,” said Alfonso Delgadillo, President of North America Appliances and HVAC. “Our commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and customers has allowed ECI to transform and grow over 55 years. Our responsibility now is to continue investing in our people and capabilities so that the next generation has even greater opportunities to grow with ECI.”
ECI’s impact in Mexico extends beyond its manufacturing operations. For more than five decades, its employees have been part of the communities where they live and work, contributing to local economies, developing talent, and building relationships that extend well beyond the walls of ECI’s facilities.
As ECI looks to the future, the company remains committed to Mexico – continuing to invest in its people, expand its capabilities, adopt new technologies and processes, and grow alongside its customers. After 55 years of transformation, ECI’s focus remains firmly on what comes next: building the capabilities, partnerships, and opportunities that will shape the next generation.
