Our Leadership Team

Tom Hutchison is the Chief Technology Officer at ECI, where he leads the company’s overall technology strategy, including product engineering, manufacturing engineering, technology development, and innovation. He works closely with business and engineering leaders to advance ECI’s technology roadmap, strengthen the product portfolio, service our customers, and support long-term growth.

Tom is an experienced global engineering executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience in the automotive and industrial sectors. He has a strong track record of leading complex engineering organizations and delivering innovation, operational excellence, and product development across global markets.

Prior to joining ECI, Tom spent over two decades at Lear Corporation, most recently serving as Vice President, Global Engineering – Electrical Distribution and Connection Systems, where he led global engineering, design, and development activities supporting major OEM customers worldwide.

Tom brings deep expertise across product development, program management, and engineering operations, and is recognized for building high-performing teams and advancing technology-driven growth.

He holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
